Vera F. (Chicachee) Speno

Vera F. Speno a lifelong resident of Tarrytown died August 19, 2016 at the age of 93. Vera was born in Tarrytown on March 21, 1923 to Frank and Edith Dahl Chicachee. In 1941, she graduated from Washington Irving High School. She married George E. Speno, Jr. and they raised their family in Tarrytown.

Vera had been the Court Clerk for the Village of Tarrytown for many years.

She is survived by her children George E. (Bonnie) Speno, III of Mount Pleasant SC and Lyn (Edward) Dalton of Tarrytown. Also surviving are her grandchildren Dawn (Adam) Barkey, Morgan Speno and Alexis Speno and her sisters Ruth Hughes of Bradenton, FL and Ebba Kadish of East Haven, CT.  Her husband George died in 2008.

Visitation will be at Coffey Funeral Home on Monday from 3PM to 6PM where services will be held at 5:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, a donation to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
