As a high school classmate and member of its track team, I clearly recall the leadership role Steve displayed early in life in both classroom and extracurricular activities. His enthusiastic personality made each day better for the rest of us. It’s been more than 50 years, but I remember his impact on my life clearly. RIP.

My memories of Steve go way back to when I still believed in Santa - - to this day I am pretty sure Steve had the job of eating Santa's cookies.
Unbeknownst to my parents, Steve was the first person to take me out driving - - always remaining relaxed, always remaining calm.
When it came to dating...and then later divorce, once again Steve was there for me. I remember one particular weekend the Carre's were headed out to the Hampton's and asked me to join them. At the time I was still living with my ex and I wasn't sure what to tell him. Steve said I shouldn't worry and that he would handle it - - Steve left a note saying "Gone Fishing".
Steve has always been there for me - - good times and not such good times. While I may not be proud of all of them, I will be forever grateful to have Steve in my life.
Linda

Our wonderful memories of Steve will always be close to our hearts. His stand-up personality and mischievous smile come to mind so easily after all these years. Our thoughts and prayers are with Diane and the Carre family at this time. God bless and rest in peace old friend.
