I was thinking of Hank when a link to his obituary came to my attention. Love you, Hank and grateful for my time together at Sacred Heart with you, Mary and our friends. Sing on in your new choir with the joy you knew about all your life. Rest In Peace, dear friend . Joe

Dear Dad, It still doesn't seem real that you are gone. I've loved you my whole life, and I am proud to be your daughter. I hope you can see us now, each trying to live your values of kindness and faith. You have a wonderful legacy in your children and grandchildren. You will be remembered. Much love to you now and all the rest of my life.

Dad—Knowing you for 59 years has been one of the great pleasures in my life. I loved most about you your deep curiosity and how your face would fill with delight at small wonders. Thank you for all the games you played with us--they taught us how to get along. Thank you for our endless summers in Vermont filled with newts and blueberry cake and soggy but delicious peanut butter and jelly sandwiches at the top of Bromley Mountain--they showed us that life can be beautiful. Thank you for filling our home with books, magazines, puzzles, and newspapers--your love of language was perhaps the most important gift of all to us. Although as an adult I lived far from you, thanks for all the time you spent with my children playing games reading, and just being a loving granddad when we did get to see you. I love you. Rest in peace.

Dear Granddad,

It was so wonderful to know you. I'll never forget running through all the rooms and floors of your and Nana's giant house as a kid. A significant part of who I am now was formed under your roof. I remember the long, winding walk down into the basement of that house, where you'd let me pick out a soda and one of your hundreds upon hundreds of video tapes - to watch then, or take back home to return later on. For me - it was always Star Trek. You will always be a part of my life. Thanks for everything Grandad.

Dad - you were the head of the table, both literally and figuratively for all of our lives. We will miss your great smile, great enthusiasm and great love for all good things. May you always roll Yahtzees up there in Heaven and Double Pinochles.
