Our sweet boy, Tucker James Junge, 18, of Tarrytown, New York tragically passed away on April 22, 2024 after a hard fought battle with cancer.
He was born on March 20, 2006 to his parents Christopher Junge and Ingrid Kindler in White Plains, New York.
Tucker grew up in Tarrytown and attended Sleepy Hollow schools, where he excelled in several sports, though his passion without a doubt was playing baseball. Tucker was a true competitor. He loved all types of games: board games, golf, card games, Wiffle ball... name any game and he’d happily play it.
Tucker loved his family. He was very close to his siblings and all his cousins and spent as much time as he could with all of them. He was a very good friend and was fiercely loyal to his lifelong crew of buddies. He treasured our annual summer vacations to Maine where he loved swimming in the ocean, playing games on the beach and eating lobster. He was also a devoted Yankee fan.
He was generous, quiet and kind and never wanted to be the center of attention.
Tucker will be remembered for his sense of humor, infectious laugh, for being a good listener and for always staying true to himself.
We will miss him forever.
Tucker is survived by his parents Chris and Ingrid, his sister Cassie and his brother Dean, as well as his loving grandparents Rosemary Kindler, Alexander Junge, Alexandra and Robert Walters. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Tucker was predeceased by his grandfather James M. Kindler who died in December 2021.
A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, May 4th at the Church of the Magdalene in Sleepy Hollow, New York. Family will be present to receive visitors at the church from 11am - 12 and the mass will begin at 12pm.
The mass will be available as a livestream.
