Stephen P. Horecky Obituary

Stephen P. Horecky, a longtime resident of Elmsford died November 20, 2025 at the age of 83. Born in Tarrytown on December 25, 1941, he was the son of Stephen N. and Mary (Surovich) Horecky.


Steve had a long career with Westchester County in the Public Works department as a construction coordinator.


He was a member of the National Sokol Lodge 114 in Sleepy Hollow where he held many leadership positions for over 50 years. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aeries 1042 in Sleepy Hollow and had been a member of the Sleepy Hollow Rifle and Gun Club. Steve was also an avid golfer.


Steve is survived by his loving sons Stephen J. (DawnMarie) and Scott (Susan) and his cherished grandchildren Desiree (Martins), Danielle (James), Stephen, Mackenzie and Meryl (Brian). He was also the proud great grandfather of James, Kennedy, Penelope, Callahan, Mila, Henriks, Sofie and Hudson. He is also survived by his sister Joyce Horecky. He was predeceased by his wife Brenda and his grandson Jasper.
