Sr. Rosa Ramirez, RSHM

Sr. Rosa Ramirez (89), died Sunday, February 6, 2020. Born Bogota, Colombia, to Aurelio and Rosa Castro Ramirez, she had been a member of the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary for 66 years.

Served in Tarrytown, Marymount School and College, Marion Center, St. Joseph’s

Retreat House, and Marymount Convent. Served at the Academy of the Sacred Heart of Mary, Sag Harbor, NY; St. Thomas Aquinas, Bronx, NY; and St. Francis Xavier, Manhattan. Ministered in Cartagena, Colombia.

Was a member of the Marymount Convent Community, Tarrytown, at the time of her death.

Survived by her cousin, Sister Maria del Carmen, RSHM, nieces and nephews in Colombia, and by the members of her RSHM religious community.                                                           

Services at Marymount Convent, 32 Warren Avenue, Tarrytown, NY. Vigil Service Thursday February 10, 7:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial, Friday, February 11,10:30 am. Burial Mount Calvary Cemetery, White Plains. Due to Covid restrictions, attendance is reserved for RSHM only.
