Sr. Patrick Cunningham, RSHM

Sr. Patrick Cunningham, RSHM, 86, died at Marymount Convent, Tarrytown, NY, September 12, 2019.

Born Noreen Cunningham in Floral Park, NY to Thomas and Mary Rattigan Cunningham, she entered the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary in 1950.

She was a teacher at St. Catharine’s, Brooklyn, NY; St Andrew’s, Sag Harbor, NY; Academy of the Sacred Heart of Mary, Manhattan, NY, where she was also principal. She was a nurse at Flower Fifth Avenue Hospital, Manhattan, NY; Marymount Convent, Tarrytown NY; New York Hospital, Manhattan NY; and continued nursing part-time after retirement.

She is survived by her sister, Sr. Theresa Cunningham, RSHM, her brother, Thomas Cunningham, and by the members of her religious community.

Services at Marymount Convent, 32 Warren Avenue, Tarrytown, NY. Wake Monday, September 16, 2019, 4:00 - 7:30 pm, Vigil Service 7:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial, Tuesday, September 17, 2019,10:30 am. Burial Mount Calvary Cemetery, White Plains. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her name may be made to Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary, 50 Wilson Park Drive, Tarrytown, NY, 10591.
