Sr. Nancy (Sr. Eucharia) O’Brien (99) died Monday, October 11, 2021, in Tarrytown NY. Born in Co. Tipperary, Ireland, to Denis and Margaret Keating McGroddy, she had been a member of the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary for 81 years.                                   

She served at Cormaria Retreat House, Sag Harbor, NY; St. Pius X School, Rosedale, NY; Marymount Secondary School, Tarrytown, NY; Academy of the Sacred Heart of Mary, Manhattan, NY; Sacred Heart of Mary High School, Bronx, NY; Marymount College, Tarrytown, NY; Marymount International School, London, England; Marymount School, Richmond, VA; Marymount Convent, Tarrytown, NY; and Marymount International School, Paris, France.

At the time of her death, she was a member of the Marymount Convent Community, Tarrytown, NY.

Sister Nancy is survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins in Ireland and the United States, and by her RSHM family.                                                     

Services at Marymount Convent, 32 Warren Avenue, Tarrytown, NY. Visiting Wednesday, October 13, 4:00 - 7:00 pm with Vigil Service 7:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial, Thursday, October 14,10:30 am. Burial Mount Calvary Cemetery, White Plains.
