Sr. Marion (Sister Nicholas) Fahey (91) died Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at Marymount Convent, Tarrytown NY. Born in New York City to William and Gertrude McEntee Fahey, she had been a member of the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary for 72 years.
Taught at St. Catharine of Alexandria, Brooklyn, NY; St. Anne’s, Garden City, NY; St. Thomas of Aquinas, Bronx, NY; Academy of the Sacred Heart of Mary, Sag Harbor, NY. Principal of St. Bridget’s, Richmond, VA. Taught at Marymount University, Arlington, VA; Aquinas High School, Bronx, NY; Sacred Heart of Mary High School, Bronx, NY; for 29 years at Marymount College, Tarrytown, NY.
Predeceased by her parents and two sisters, Grace Fahey and Alice Fahey Murdock. She is survived by her sister Joan Fahey Purcell, niece Colette Purcell, nephews James Murdock and Stephen Murdock, and by the members of her RSHM community.
Services at Marymount Convent, 32 Warren Avenue, Tarrytown, NY. Vigil Service Thursday, January 20, 7:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial, Friday, January 21, 10:30 am. Burial Mount Calvary Cemetery, White Plains.
Due to Covid restrictions, only RSHM Sisters and immediate family may attend. Upon arrival please present proof of vaccination and wear a mask.
