Sr. Maeve (Sr. Brendan) O’Connor (90) died Saturday, March 15,2023 at Marymount Convent, Tarrytown NY.  Born Bridget Maeve O’Connor in Irishtown, Co. Galway, Ireland, to Michael and Mary Julia Treacy O’Connor, she had been a member of the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary for 72 years.

Sr. Maeve taught at St. Anne’s, Garden City, NY; Gerard School, New York City; Marymount International School, Rome, Italy; Marymount School, Bougival, France; Istituto Marymount, Rome, Italy; Marymount International School, Paris, France; and Marymount International School, London, England.

She served on the staff of Cormaria Retreat House, Sag Harbor, NY, and in the pastoral care departments at St. Peter’s Medical Center, New Brunswick, NY, and Mather Hospital, Port Jefferson, NY. Sr. Maeve was Coordinator of Marymount Convent, Tarrytown, NY, and was part of the parish outreach programs of St. Anne’s, Garden City, NY, and St. Catharine of Alexandria, Brooklyn, NY.

Services at Marymount Convent, 32 Warren Avenue, Tarrytown, NY. Visiting Thursday, April 20, 4:00 - 7:00 pm with Vigil Service 7:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial, Friday, April 21, 10:30 am. Burial Mount Calvary Cemetery, White Plains.
