Sr. Cecilia Camargo (93) died at Friday, March 12, 2021, at Marymount Convent, Tarrytown, NY. She had been a member of the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary for 65 years.

She served in Colombia at Marymount Schools in Bogota and Barranquilla; in mission areas in Guacamayas. Cartagena, and Rio Negro, and taught kindergarten in Florencia. She was a member of the staff at Cormaria Retreat House, Sag Harbor, NY; St. Joseph’s Center, Tarrytown, NY; and Marymount Convent, Tarrytown, NY. She ministered through parish outreach at St. Catharine of Alexandria Parish in Brooklyn, NY.

She was living at Marymount Convent at the time of her death.

Sister Cecilia is survived by family in Colombia and by the members of her religious community.

Mass of Christian Burial, Marymount Convent, Tuesday, March 16, 10:30 am. Burial Mount Calvary Cemetery, White Plains.
