Sister Ann (Rosaleen) O'Halloran (80) died Sunday, November 7, 2021 at Marymount Convent, Tarrytown, NY. Born in Co. Cork, Ireland, to John and Anne Beirne O’Halloran, she had been a member of the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary for 60 years.
She taught at Marymount School, New York, NY; and, at Marymount Schools in Bogota and Medellin in Colombia. She taught at St. Thomas Aquinas School, Bronx, NY; St. Anthony’s School, Manhattan, NY; and was principal of St. Catharine of Alexandria, Brooklyn, NY. She also taught at Marymount Manhattan College, New York. She served in Zambia and Zimbabwe for 22 years.
Sister Ann is survived by her siblings, Mary, John, Michael, and Rosemary, nieces and nephews, and by the members of her religious community.
Services at Marymount Convent, 32 Warren Avenue, Tarrytown, NY. Visiting Friday, November 12, 4:00 - 7:00 pm with Vigil Service 7:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial, Saturday, November 13, 10:00 am. Burial Mount Calvary Cemetery, White Plains.
