Salvatore Cappuzzello

Salvatore Cappuzzello, a long time Tarrytown resident, died November 30, 2018.  He was 82.

Mr. Cappuzzello was born on June 8, 1936 to Carmelo and Rosa Cappuzzello in Ragusa, Sicily.  He worked as a painter and contractor and had his own business, Sal Cappuzzello Painting.  He was a member of the Tarrytown Seniors.  He was also a member of the Italian American Independence Club/Italia 2000.

He is survived by his wife Connie D’Amico-Cappuzzello of Tarrytown.  He is also survived by his children Carmelo Cappuzzello, Karen (Howard) Cappuzzello-Rodriguez of South Nyack, David (Tara) Cappuzzello of Hopewell Junction, Christina (Jeff) Giacchetti of Ardsley, and Pamela Cappuzzello of Tarrytown.  In addition, he is also survived by his 6 grandchildren: Ronnie and Kayla Keesler, Isabella Cappuzzello and David Cappuzzello, Jr., and Jessica and Alexis Giacchetti.  He also leaves behind his 3 beloved cats: Babe, Noah, and Grigio.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4:00-8:00 pm at Coffey Funeral Home in Tarrytown.  His funeral mass will be held on Wednesday at Transfiguration Church at 10:30 am.  His interment follows at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
