Rosemary S. Frye, a longtime Irvington resident died suddenly on November 30, 2021 at the age of 71. Born in Tarrytown on July 7, 1950, she was the daughter of James J. and Theresa Mary Dorothy Collins Sullivan.
After graduation from Sleepy Hollow High School, Rosemary became a hairdresser and for many years owned and operated her own shop D’Or Hairstylist in Irvington.
She had been a Brownie and Girl Scout leader in Irvington and she sponsored a women’s softball team called D’Or. Over the years, she enjoyed time spent with family and friends on Long Beach Island. She also loved going to the casinos with her husband Artie.
Rosemary is survived by her loving husband Arthur J. Frye, her son Arthur W. (Dawn) Frye and her grandchildren Ashley (John) Gameiro and Arthur W. Frye, II as well as her great grandchildren Sophia and John Gameiro. Also surviving are her brothers James J. (Janet) Sullivan and Francis ‘Silky’ (Eileen) Sullivan and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter Cheryl Ann in 2019.
Visitation will be on Saturday from 2PM to 6PM at Coffey Funeral Home where services will be held at 6:00 PM.
