Rose C. (Capossela) Cregan

Rose C. Cregan passed away peacefully on September 21, 2024 at the age of 93.

She was born on March 22, 1931 to Maria (Maffucci) and Lazzaro Capossela in North Tarrytown, NY. She was educated at local schools and attended the American Institute of Banking. She began her retail career at B. Altman and later was employed for many years in the executive offices at Lord & Taylor in Manhattan . She was a charter member of Phelps Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and worked actively for 35 years as a volunteer.

She married Joseph J. Cregan on April 26, 1952 (deceased).

Rose is survived by 2 daughters: Janie Trayer (John), Sally DiSilvestro (Eric), 3 grandchildren, Katie DiSilvestro, Caroline Sauers (Craig), David DiSilvestro (Jessica Jia) and 2 great grandchildren, Louis and Juliet Rose Sauers.

Her funeral mass will be held on Monday, October 7, at St. Teresa of Avila Church at 11:00 AM with interment to follow in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
