Rose E. Arduino Obituary

Rose E. Arduino, extraordinary wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on November 16, 2022 at the age of 96. Rose was born in Mount Kisco on October 3, 1926 and was the daughter of Anthony and Rose (Dente) Accetta.

On April 24, 1949, she married Joseph Arduino in St. Francis of Assisi Church in Mount Kisco.

Rose and Joseph settled in Tarrytown where they raised their family. Over the years, she had worked at Readers Digest, the Public Schools of the Tarrytowns and the Children’s Garden Center. She was a parishioner of Transfiguration Church and a member of the Transfiguration Seniors. She was also a member of the Tarrytown Seniors.

Rose loved gardening and cooking and her greatest joy was welcoming family, friends and neighbors into her home for a good meal.

Left to mourn her loss are her children Grace (Ray) Artus, Barbara (Bobby) Spirelli, Carol (Bobby) Hoyt, Dolores (Vinny) Coulehan, Joseph (Jayne) Arduino and Ron (Laura) Arduino, 15 grandchildren; Robby, Craig, Marissa, Mark, Mike, Lindsay, Kyle, Tim, Emily, Nick, Thomas, Matt, Catherine, Stephen and Elizabeth and 12 great grandchildren; Jackson, Luke, Owen, Riley, Kayla, Cody, Henry, Charlie, Oliver, Peyton, Logan and Joey, her sisters Marion Corsi and Anne (Tom) Curley, her sisters-in-law Nancy and Joanne and many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Her husband Joseph predeceased her in 1993 and she was also predeceased by her brothers Nicholas, Anthony, Joseph and Angelo Accetta as well as her son-in-law Kirk Booth.

Visitation will be at Coffey Funeral Home on Sunday from 3 pm - 7 pm.  Her Funeral Mass will be Monday at Transfiguration Church at 10:30 followed by interment in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
