Richard Stern, a lifelong resident of Tarrytown died peacefully November 5, 2022 at the age of 81. Born in White Plains on November 7, 1940, he was the son of Joseph and Evelyn Stern.

After school, Richard embarked on a long career in the restaurant business. He will be remembered as having been the Pizza Man at Albanese’s Pizza in Tarrytown. He, along with his partners had owned the Alabi Inn and the Windjammer, both in Irvington. Later he worked for the Pizza and Brew restaurant and finally he partnered with his son Brian at Yonkers Avenue Pizza.

Richard will be remembered as a man who enjoyed life and loved his family unconditionally. Surviving are his son Brian, his grandson Tyler and his brothers Donald and Joseph and his step-sister Lisa Petruzellis. He was predeceased by his wife Maureen (Scanlon), his brother Buddy Stern and his step-brother Jim Lane.
