Ramiro J. Lakoseljac, 78, of Sleepy Hollow died March 26, 2020 having succumbed to COVID-19.
Born in Skropeti, Croatia on July 1, 1941, he was the son of Ivan and Ana Buic Lakoseljac. He immigrated to the United States as a young man. When he first came to this area, he worked for the food service at Marymount College in Tarrytown. He later went on to become a house painter and a landscaper.
Ramiro enjoyed gardening and listening to classical music. He had a wide knowledge of history, geography, dates, and events which he enjoyed sharing with his friends.
He is survived by his brother Janko (Anneliese) in Germany and his sister Josipa Saber of Croatia as well as 7 nephews. He is also survived by many friends locally.
Ramiro will be buried in St. Augustine Cemetery in Peekskill and a memorial for him will be held in the future.
