Quiteria Yumart

Quiteria Yumart, a longtime resident of Tarrytown died peacefully on June 5, 2019. She was 94. Born in Cuba on May 22, 1925, she was the daughter of Domingo and Saturnina Pena Gonzalez.

Quiteria was married to Felix Yumart in Cuba. They came to the United States in the 1950’s but returned to Cuba. Felix returned to the United States in the 1970’s to prepare a place for his family to join him. Quiteria joined him in the 1980’s.

Quiteria and Felix operated a family restaurant in North Tarrytown called Amigos Restaurant where Quiteria did much of the cooking.

She is survived by her son Felix of Tarrytown and her daughter Lazara of Cuba. She is also survived by her grandchildren Felix and Mabel and her great grandchildren Brendan and Briana.

Visitation will be at Coffey Funeral Home on Sunday from 4PM to 7PM. Funeral Services with Reverend Jennifer Rodrigues will be at 6:00 PM. Quiteria will be buried with her husband in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery on Monday.
