Nathan Weitman of Tarrytown and formerly of Long Island died peacefully on August 30, 2021 at the age of 94.
Born in the Bronx on January 25, 1927, he was the son of Walter and Fannie Ditman Weitman.
Nathan served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. He went on to earn degrees in education and taught math and science for many years. He retired after a long career in education as an Assistant Principal in the Farmingdale School District.
Nathan was an avid golfer and fisherman and gardener. He loved animals, music – everything from the Beatles to Count Basie and he also loved to travel.
Nathan is survived by Joan (Krieger), his loving wife of more than 60 years as well as his children Adam, Joshua, David and Rebecca Dransfield. Also surviving are his 9 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother Murray.
