Mercedes Hernandez

Mercedes Hernandez, a longtime Tarrytown resident died December 8, 2013 at the age of 89.
Born in Cuba on July 16, 1924, she was the daughter of Eduardo and Maria Flores Hernandez.
Mercedes worked for many years at Mallory Battery in North Tarrytown.
She is survived by her brothers Ricardo of New Jersey and Santiago of Florida and her sisters Emma Doherty of Tarrytown, Teresita Gomez of Florida, Andrea Perez of Venezuela and Maria del Carmen Salinas of Cuba. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Mario, Jorge, Edmundo and Heberto and her sister Marina Hernandez died December 9, 2013.
Visitation will be at Coffey Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5 PM to 9PM where services will be held on Wednesdayat 9:30 AM followed by interment in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the America Diabetes Association or the Alzheimer’s Association would be appreciated
