Mauro Gomez, a resident of Tarrytown died June 27, 2022 at the age of 76. Mauro was born in Peru on December 3, 1945 and was the son of Timoteo Gomez and Juana Benitez.

Mauro came to the United States in 1974 which is where he met and married Esnelda DePaula and they began their new life together.

Mauro worked as a landscaper for many years. His most recent job was with Greenrock Corporation.

He is survived by his loving wife Esnelda and his son Paul. He is also survived by his grandchildren Tyrone Simmons, Joshua Gomez, Joseph Gomez, Laila Gomez, Michael Gomez and his nephew Josiah Estimable as well as his sister Victoria Hermida Gomez. Also surviving are his nieces Brenda Cavero, Daisy Lopez, Jessica Tamay, Carmen Diaz, Jalyssa Diaz and Brenda Diaz. He was predeceased by his sister Paulina Kiwaki Gomez.

Visitation will be at Coffey Funeral Home on Friday from 4PM to 8PM. His Funeral Mass will be on Saturday at St. Teresa of Avila Church at 9:30 followed by entombment in Rose Hills Memorial Park in Putnam Valley.
