Mary Katherine ‘Kay’ Lingardo died November 25, 2023 at the age of 81. Born in Tarrytown on December 23, 1941, she was the daughter of Howard and Alice (Richard) Brideau. Raised in North Tarrytown, she was a graduate of North Tarrytown High School. On November 17, 1961, she married David Lingardo in St. Teresa of Avila Church.
The couple settled in North Tarrytown where they raised their family. Kay also worked as a Telephone Operator for AT&T. Kay was a life-long parishioner of St. Teresa of Avila Church, and she had been a member of the Sleepy Hollow Seniors and the American French Club. She was an avid bowler and she enjoyed trips to casinos.
Kay is survived by her loving children David (Bernadette), Laura Gail, Frankie and Lois as well as her beloved grandchildren Amanda, Gregory, Alyssa, Nicholas, Brent and Craig and her great grandchildren Angelina and Lucas. One of 12 children, Kay is survived by her siblings Alvin, Norman and Henry Brideau, Diane Gagliardi, Grace Malandrino and Jeanette Trodden. In addition to her husband David who died in 2018, she is predeceased by her siblings Ernie and Leo Brideau, Viola Duffy, Gertrude Lazzarino and Ann Marie Buscetto.
Visitation will be at Coffey Funeral Home on Tuesday November 28 from 3:00 – 7:00 PM. Her Funeral Mass will be at St. Teresa of Avila Church on Wednesday at 9:00 followed by interment in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery
