It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved friend, Mary Margaret (Marr) Martin, resident of Montclair, NJ,  born in North Tarrytown, NY July 5, 1954, and died in Cedar Grove, NJ June 24, 2026.  

Marr was an incredibly talented artist.  She was known for her generosity of spirit, creativity, and kindness.  She shared her talents and vast knowledge teaching eco-printing and dyeing on silk, weaving, quilting, and crochet privately and for schools and organizations for the disabled.  She was a member of Yema Arts in NJ and a former member of Westfield Weavers Guild in NJ. Marr received an Honorable Mention Award for Yardage from the Handweavers Guild of America in 2016 and an Artist Grant from Yema Arts/Artsetc in 2022.  Marr had a M.S. in Geophysics from Stanford University and a M.S. in Computer Science from Pace University.   All that knew her will be blessed by her memory and will miss her greatly.

Funeral services will be held at the Coffey Funeral Home, 91 N. Broadway, Tarrytown, NY at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 1st, with a graveside service to follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, 540 N. Broadway, Sleepy Hollow, NY.
