Mary Kelly Hughes, a longtime resident of Millbrook NY passed away peacefully on August 13th, 2021 at the age of 90.  She was the eldest child of John C. Kelly and Dorothy Murphy Kelly.

            Mary grew up in Scarsdale NY and was a graduate of Marymount College in Tarrytown, NY (Class of 1952). 

            Mary enjoyed several hobbies including the breeding of her beloved Labrador Retrievers.  She enjoyed horseback riding, golf and was a very active member of the Millbrook Garden Club.  She was an avid spectator at sporting and extracurricular events in which her children and grandchildren participated. 

            Mary was predeceased by her husband, John J. Hughes, her daughter, Katherine Anne Shelburne and her grandson Thomas J. Hughes.  She was also predeceased by her four brothers, John, Robert, Michael, and James Kelly.

            Mary is survived by her children, John J. Hughes, Jr. (Anna), Thomas M. Hughes, Patricia Barnes (Brad), and Kelly Hughes.  Also surviving Mary are her grandchildren, John J. Hughes, III, Joseph E. Hughes, Michaela Barnes, Kelsey Barnes, Caitlin Shelburne, Kelly Shelburne and Alexander Shelburne.

            A Mass of Christian burial will be held at the Immaculate Conception Church located at 199 North Broadway, Sleepy Hollow, NY on Thursday, April 19th, 2021 at 11:00.
