Maria dos Anjos Jorge, a longtime Tarrytown resident died peacefully on December 12, 2021 at the age of 90. Maria was born in Portugal on May 2, 1931 and was the daughter of Jose Vieira Pedro and Joaquina de Jesus.

She was married to Jose Vieira Jorge who predeceased her in 2012.

Maria is survived by her daughter-in-law Maria Jorge and her grandchildren Stefanie (Joseph) Tufano, Christina Jorge and Jesse Jorge as well as her great granddaughters Viviana and Natalia Tufano. In addition to her husband Jose, she was predeceased by her son Lino and all of her siblings.

Visitation will be at Coffey Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4PM to 8PM. Her Funeral Mass will be at St. Teresa of Avila Church on Thursday at 10:00 followed by interment in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
