Margaret J. Maher, a longtime resident of Tarrytown died May 23, 2026 at the age of 89. Born September 24, 1936 in Yonkers, NY, she was the daughter of Joseph and Anna (Maye) Hayes.

She married Robert F. Maher, Sr and they settled in Tarrytown where they raised their family. Margaret enjoyed the simple things in life like watching the birds in her yard. She enjoyed the beach, especially the Jersey Shore.

Margaret will be remembered as a wonderful and caring wife and mother and she is survived by her loving children Jody Redmond and Kevin Maher as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Robert, she was predeceased by her son Robert F. Maher, Jr and her sisters Ann Weitel and Marie Cali.

Services will be private.
