Manuel Segundo Vallejo

Manuel Segundo Vallejo, formerly of Tarrytown died August 21, 2020 at the age of 93.

Manuel was born in Spain on January 6, 1927 and was the son of Manuel and Maria Luisa Diego Vallejo.

Manuel fled Spain in the 1930s during the Spanish Civil War and began a new life in Cuba. He once again found himself fleeing a revolution and left Cuba during the Castro takeover of the country. He left Cuba on a raft and ended up in Bermuda. From Bermuda, he made his way to the United States.

He eventually settled in Tarrytown with his wife Hildelisa Alvarez. He worked for many years as a cook in the Tarrytown Hilton. He later moved to Montrose and most recently he was in Ossining.

Manuel is survived by his children Maria (Mario) Bernal and Manuel Segundo Vallejo as well as 3 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Hildelisa.

Services will be planned for a time when the family will be able to gather safely.
