Louise Bracchitta, a longtime resident of Sleepy Hollow and more recently of Briarcliff Manor died November 1, 2025 at the age of 89.

Born in Dobbs Ferry on May 28, 1936, she was the daughter of Frank and Mary E. (Sanzo) Guglielmo. She attended Catholic Grammar School in Dobbs Ferry and when the family moved to Tarrytown she finished her schooling there at Washington Irving High School.

Louise married Joseph Bracchita and together along with raising their two sons, they owned and operated Sleepy Hollow Custom Kitchens until they retired and their son Kevin took over.

Joe loved to golf and he taught Louise the game. She perfected her skills to the point where she became the woman’s champion at Knollwood Country Club.  Louise was also a wonderful cook who enjoyed cooking for her family and was eager to pass along family recipes to her grandchildren.

She is survived by her son Joseph (Teresa), grandsons Raymond Joseph (RJ) and Matthew, her granddaughter Jeanna and her son-in-law Matthew Palombelli. She is also survived by her sisters Frances Remling and Carol Croft as well as many nieces and nephews.  Louise’s husband Joseph died in 2016 and she was also predeceased by her son Kevin John in September 2025. Also predeceasing her were her sister Marion DelGrande and brother Frank Guglielmo, Jr.  

Visitation will be at Coffey Funeral Home on Tuesday November 11, 2025 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM. Her Funeral Mass will be at St. Theresa’s Church in Briarcliff on Wednesday at 10:00 with burial to follow in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
