Louis A. Tucci, Jr, a lifelong resident of Tarrytown died peacefully on June 2, 2022. He was 81. Born in Tarrytown on June 10, 1940, he was the son of Louis A. and Alice Jackman Tucci.
Lou graduated from Stepinac High School in 1958 and went on to receive his degree from St. Francis College in Loretto, PA where he was a member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity.
On October 12, 1963, he married Faith Lagana in Immaculate Conception Church.
Lou had worked for General Motors for 30 years and in his retirement, he worked for the Village of Tarrytown in the Building Department. He was very involved in his community as a Life Active member of Phenix Hose of the Tarrytown Fire Department, having served as Chief from 1987-1989. Lou also coached countless children in Tarrytown and Irvington in his years as a baseball, football, basketball and softball coach. He also enjoyed golfing and bowling in his spare time.
Lou is survived by Faith, his loving wife of 58 years, his children Louis (Jennifer), Carol (Danny) Matra and Ricky (Cheryl) and his beloved grandchildren Jessica, Timmy, Danny and Kayla. Lou is also survived by his sisters Barbara (Rudy) Richichi (his twin), Gloria (Ray) Pucci and Gail (Dennis) Piccirelli as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at Coffey Funeral Home on Monday from 4PM to 8PM. His Funeral Mass will be Tuesday at Immaculate Conception (St. John Paul, II) Church at 10:00 followed by interment in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
