Lillian M. (McGowan) Hogan

Lillian M. Hogan, a lifelong resident of North Tarrytown/Sleepy Hollow, died December 6, 2021 at the age of 86. Born in Tarrytown on May 16, 1935, she was the daughter of Thomas Patrick and Jane Callahan McGowan. She was a graduate of North Tarrytown High School.

A lifelong parishioner of St. Teresa of Avila Church, she married James F. Hogan there on September 13, 1958. She also sang in their choir for many years. Lillian was a member of the Sleepy Hollow Seniors, the Ladies AOH, Kitty Geissler Division 11, the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aeries 1042 Ladies Auxiliary, and the Red Hats. She was also an avid bowler having been in several leagues over the years.

Lillian is survived by James, her loving husband of 63 years, her children Jane (Dennis Roach) Hogan, Michael (Liz) Hogan, Nancy (Chris) Logan and Maureen (Jim) Gallery. Also surviving are her beloved grandchildren Chelsea, Alyssa, Tara (John), Gillian (EJ), JR(Christina), Erin, Alayne, Tommy, and Claire and her great grandson Logan. She was predeceased by her siblings Miriam, Tom, and Billy.

Visitation will be at Coffey Funeral Home on Thursday from 3PM to 7PM. Her Funeral Mass will be at St. Teresa of Avila Church on Friday at 10:00.
