It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Det. Kenneth H. Hasko, a retired police officer, who left us unexpectedly on September 26, 2024, at the age of 47.
Kenny, as he was best known as to friends and family, was born on August 25th 1977 and grew up on Croton, NY, where he was raised with a deep sense of duty and a heart for service. He dedicated over 20 years of his life to law enforcement, serving with unwavering integrity and compassion. First as a Border Patrol agent on the frontlines and then as revered bomb technician with Westchester County PD. Kenny became a respected figure in the law enforcement community, known for his dedication, bravery, and willingness to go above and beyond to protect and serve those around him. Over the course of his career he received numerous commendations and awards along with receiving the prestigious assignment of representing WCPD on the Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF) a role he could not have been more proud to serve in.
Kenny leaves behind his wife, Gabrielle; his stepdaughter Emma; his two children, Lexi and Ryan (Joanne); and his parents Ken and Barbara. He also leaves behind many close friends and colleagues who will remember him for his kind heart and the difference he made in so many lives.
The family takes comfort in knowing that Kenny is finally at peace and reunited with those who have gone before him. They wish to remind others struggling with similar challenges to seek help and support, as Kenny's journey is a reminder of the importance of compassion, understanding, and community.
Visitation will be held at Coffey Funeral Home in Tarrytown where family, friends, and colleagues are invited to pay their respects and share their memories. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to organizations that were meaningful to Kenny.
Det. Kenny Hasko will be remembered as a man of courage, love, and loyalty. His legacy of service and kindness will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace.
In lieu of flowers, donations to any of these charities would be greatly appreciated:
