Juel Marie Timmings passed away on June 12, 2024; she was 94 years old.  She was born in Ossining, NY on September 22, 1929 to James and Irene Deely, and was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Jim, and her son-in-law Joe Gallagher.

She is survived by her daughter, Claire Gallagher; her son, Jim Timmings and his wife, Monica; and her daughter, Eileen Dean and her husband, Bob. She was blessed with six grandchildren; Sarah, Kelly, Caroline, Matt, Jimmy and Amy. She is also survived by her sister, Jane Coles and her husband Jack of Pt. Pleasant WV. Marie also had many nieces, nephews and cousins that played a special part in her life.

Marie lived 91 years in the Sleepy Hollow area of Westchester County, NY and moved to Weston, Florida 3 years ago to enjoy more sunshine and outdoor activities. 

Sweet Marie, as she was known to so many, was a loving wife, a caring mother and a dedicated grandmother. She thoroughly enjoyed family life and had a special talent for baking (especially chocolate cookies & apple pies), sewing, and reading stories to her kids and grandkids. Playing the piano was a huge part of her life from her teenage years on. She delighted us all at family reunions and holidays with the music that poured out from that baby grand, and she entertained countless others while playing with the Old Mill Singers for over 20 years.

A graveside service is planned for June 29th in Sleepy Hollow, NY.
