Joseph J. Tuths, a former resident of Tarrytown died February 3, 2026 at the age of 90.

Born in Brooklyn on November 4, 1935, he was the son of Anthony and Frances (Russo) Tuths. The family moved to Tarrytown in 1960. After his marriage to Elaine Gentry, he relocated to Lake Hopatcong, NJ where he lived for many years before retiring to Honesdale, PA.

Joseph served in The United States Army from 1959-1965 where he became a paratrooper and a proud member of the 82nd Airborne division.  

In his spare time and especially when he retired, he loved being outdoors. He enjoyed living on the lake and boating and in his retirement, he spent his days working on his house and yard.

He is survived by his loving children Michelle Lundgren, Jeanette Lundgren, Cynthia Lundgren, Lorraine Tuths, Anthony (Debbie) Tuths and Denise Frey as well as 6 grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was predeceased by his wife, Elaine and his sister Joesphine Tuths.

Visitation will be on Friday from 4PM to 8PM at Coffey Funeral Home where services will be held on Saturday at 10:30. Interment with military honors.
