Joseph P. Rutiglan

Joseph P. Rutiglan of Poughkeepsie and formerly of Tarrytown, died at home on July 14, 2023 with his loving family at his side. He was 66 years old. Joe was born in North Tarrytown on July 10, 1957 and was the son of Joseph and Mary (Corveddu) Rutiglan. He was a graduate of Sleepy Hollow High School, Class of 1975.

He was a member of the Teamsters Union, Local 456. Joe loved to drive trucks and was very proud to refer to himself as a professional truck driver. He was also a great mechanic. Before joining the Teamsters, Joe had worked for the Town of Greenburgh as a General Foreman.

Joe was a member of Washington Engine Company #2 of the Tarrytown Fire Department. He was an avid fisherman and loved trips to the Jersey Shore.

Joe is survived by his loving wife Laurie (Riley) and his children Joseph, Anthony, Amanda and Felicia. Also surviving are his grandchildren Axle, Ava, Gianna, Alexa, Abigail, Anthony, Jr., Sarah and Michael. He was predeceased by his brother Michael.

Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4PM to 8PM at Coffey Funeral Home where services will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 followed by interment in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
