James Martin

James Martin, a longtime resident of White Plains died February 23, 2020 at the age of 86. James was born on September 24, 1033 in Tuskegee, Alabama. He was the son of Robert and Georgia Ann Moore Martin.

James was retired after having worked for many years for the Department of Sanitation in the City of White Plains.

He was predeceased by his wife Josephine.

James is survived by his son James Martin of Akron, OH; his grandchildren James Latice Martin of Whitmere, SC, Mauris Germaine Martin of Dallas, TX and Mikayla Shay Martin of Tacoma, WA. He is also survived by his great grandson Gabriel Martin. James is also survived by his niece Samantha (James Godette) Ford-Godette and his nephew Vernal (Laurie) Ford, great niece and nephews Jaidyn Godette, Vernal Ford, III and Imani Ford as well as his sister-in-law Cora Caldwell.

Visitation followed by words of remembrance will be at Coffey Funeral Home on Thursday March 5, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. Interment will follow in White Plains Rural Cemetery.
