Helene Teresa Hyland was born on August 12, 1947 to Maurice and Mary Sheridan Hyland. She was the fifth child in a sibling group of seven. She attended St Teresa’s and Sleepy Hollow schools. Helene was employed by Mallory Battery Factory for many years and was one of the star players of their bowling league. Helene returned to her hometown after John’s passing.
