Helen M Manca

Helen M. Manca , a lifelong resident of Sleepy Hollow passed away peacefully on May 16th, 2020. Born in North Tarrytown on October 17, 1916, she was the daughter of John and Anna Kolesik Manca. After attending North Tarrytown High School she enjoyed a career as a Dental Assistant which lasted a lifetime.Helen was a member of the Sleepy Hollow Seniors and a longtime parishioner of Holy Cross Church and St. Teresa of Avila. As one of Sleepy Hollow’s centenarians she loved living on the banks of the Hudson River and was often seen walking and enjoying the village. Her greatest joy in life was caring for her extended family. For many years gathering at Aunt Helen's was a weekly event, where her siblings, nieces and nephews enjoyed family, food and conversation. Helen also enjoyed sewing, knitting, gardening, baking and had an eye for fashion.

Helen is survived by her sister Catherine Carpenter of Ossining and numerous nieces, nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings Mary Kiselak, Anna Thompson, Frances Kofka, Stephen Manca and John Manca.

Due to Covid-19 there will be no services held at this time.

A memorial mass will be held at a later date.
