GERARD F. (ROD) BUSHEL

12/9/64 - 12/9/22

Gerard F. Bushel, 58, of Sleepy Hollow, NY, died on 12/9/22 as a result of complications arising from surgery and a lifetime of kidney disease.

Rod was a lifelong resident of Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow. He is survived by his parents, Gerard R. Bushel, Jr. and Joan Ceccolini Bushel. He is also survived by his sisters Diane (Peter) Burchell and Laurie (Frank) Melagrano and nieces and nephews: Maximilian (Melissa) Burchell, Caroline (Justin) Mathew; Madeleine Burchell, Kayla Melagrano and Paige Melagrano.

Rod was employed as a Crew Chief for American Airlines in NYC. He was a courageous man that fought his medical problems and will always be respected and loved by his family and friends.

When he wasn't working on airplanes, Rod could be seen in his yard repairing his electric trains, gadgets, and every kind of mechanical object he could find.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your favorite charity in his name.

Visitation will be at Coffey Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4PM to 8PM. His Funeral Mass will be Thursday at 10:30 at Transfiguration Church followed by interment in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery
