Genevieve 'Jean' E. (DiBlasi) Murphy Obituary
Genevieve E. Murphy, formerly of Tarrytown and longtime resident of Carmel died July 29, 2025 at the age of 79. Jean, as she was known to family and friends was born in Tarrytown on July 11, 1946. She was the daughter of Russell and Frances (Salicco) DiBlasi.
Jean was a graduate of Sleepy Hollow High School. She had worked for many years at Reader’s Digest.
She was married to Thomas J. Murphy who predeceased her in 1992.
She is survived by her brother Richard (Catherine), sister, Elaine (Frank) Papp and brother, Ronald (Maria) and her sister-in-law Nancy DiBlasi. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
In addition to her husband Tom, she was predeceased by her brother Russell DiBlasi.
Visitation will be at Coffey Funeral Home on Sunday August 3, 2025 from 2PM to 4PM where services will be held on Monday at 10:30 followed by interment in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
