Frank A. Benuscak, Jr.

Frank A Benuscak Jr., 85, a lifelong resident of North Tarrytown, passed away on August 16, 2023.

      He was born in North Tarrytown on October 19, 1937 to Frank Sr & Anna Benuscak. He was the beloved husband of 51 years to Adrianne Benuscak (Salatel) who passed away on November 28, 2013. He was the loving father to Gregory (MaryAnn), Frank (Liz), and Sharon. He was a wonderful grandfather to Sara (Tim), Megan, Shannon, Hannah and Michayla. 

       He was predeceased by his father Frank Sr., his mother Anna and his brother-in-law Norman. He is survived by his sister, Diane Covert.

       Frank graduated from North Tarrytown High School in 1955. He was a member of Glenville Fire Company and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. 

       He proudly served his country in the U.S Navy aboard the USS Northhampton out of Norfolk, Virginia with 2 years of active duty and 4 years of Reserve duty. While on the USS Northhampton he traveled the world playing softball for his Navy ship. 

        Throughout his life he held many different occupations. Most notable is his 28 years at the GM Training Center and the GM Plant. He retired in 1993. 

         Frank played on multiple softball teams throughout his life, was an avid golfer and sports enthusiast. He also coached his children throughout their sports careers.

        He loved attending all of his granddaughters’ activities; whether it was a sports game, plays or dance recitals. 

         He loved listening to doo-wop in his backyard and was a member of the Bobby Vinton fan club. He loved going on vacation every year with his family to LBI. 

         Frank was devoted to his family and he will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

        Visitation will be at Coffey Funeral Home on Sunday, August 20th from 3PM-7PM. His funeral mass will be on Monday, August 21st at 10:30 AM at the Transfiguration Church in Tarrytown. Burial will follow directly after mass at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
