Frank C. Adams Obituary

Frank Carl Adams a life-long resident of Tarrytown died April 24, 2025 at the age of 86. Frank was born in Tarrytown on July 29, 1938 and was the son of Freeman and Lillian (Johnson) Adams. He graduated from Washington Irving High School and continued his studies at East Tennessee State University. Frank then went on to serve proudly in the United States Marine Corps where he attained the rank of Corporal. He was stationed at Camp Lejeune during the Cuban Missile Crisis.

Frank was a skilled carpenter and truly enjoyed woodworking. He worked for Hatfield Brothers for many years, was a member of Carpenters Union in Hawthorne and had also worked at General Motors for a period of time.       

In addition to his work, he was an avid gardener and took great pride in his garden. He was a great NY Yankee and NY Knicks fan. He was also quite a softball legend himself.  

Having grown up and lived in the Glenville section of Tarrytown, he was a member of the Glenville Fire House. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1042.

Frank is survived by his loving children Cheryl (John) Corbett, Nancy (Dan) Wims, Kristen (Charles) Herzner and Frank (Claire) Adams. He was also the proud and loving grandfather of Carly, Kyle, Haley, Ryan and Michael. He was predeceased by his brother George Adams and his sisters Doris Williams and Carol Riguzzi.
