Frank J. Abato, of Hopewell Junction and formerly of Tarrytown died June 12, 2023 at the age of 83.  Born in Tarrytown on April 24, 1940, he was the son of Frank P. and Jennie (Delmerico) Abato.

After high school, Frank enlisted in the United States Navy and served honorably from 1959 to 1963. He then went on to work as a plumber and pipefitter at General Motors.

Frank is survived by his son Jeffrey (Diane) Abato of Hopewell Junction, his daughter Tracy Grace Abato (John Culligan) of Newburgh, his daughter Robin Willard of Kiln, MS, and his son Michael Abato of PA. Also surviving are his sisters Patricia (Kevin) Ryan of Estero, FL and Donna Festa of Irvington, his grandchildren Jordan and Nicholas as well as other grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Linda (Wilson) in 1998, his son Frank in 2011 and his grandson Matthew in 2020 as well as his brother-in-law Joseph Festa.

Visitation will be at Coffey Funeral Home on Friday June 16 from 4PM to 8PM.
