Daniel Albert Matra

Daniel Albert Matra died Tuesday, August 4 after a brief illness. He we was 60.

A native of North Tarrytown, Danny was born on September 27, 1965, the third and youngest child of Albert and Joanne Matra. He was known for his quick wit, contagious laughter, and enduring friendships. Danny was a lifelong Giants and Yankees fan. Danny loved to cook for his family and friends. 

He is remembered as a loving husband, brother, uncle, friend, a caring neighbor and dog dad to Lucy and Lexi.

Danny was a long term employee of Gannet, Co. Inc., and most recently SP Industries.

Danny was predeceased by his parents, Albert and Joanne; and father-in-law, Lou Tucci. He is survived by his wife, Carol of 36 years; brother, John (Patricia) Matra; sister, Terri (Carlos) Garcia; mother-in-law Faith Tucci; siblings-in-law Jennifer and Lou Tucci, Cheryl and Ricky Tucci; nieces and nephews, Nicholas (Debora) Matra, Jessica Tucci, Timmy Tucci, Danny Tucci and Kayla Tucci, as well as many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. 

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 6, from 4pm to 8pm at Coffey Funeral Home, 91 North Broadway, Tarrytown. A memorial service will be held at 11am on Friday, August 7, at the funeral home.
