Carmella (Consilvio) Minnella, a longtime resident of Hawthorne died peacefully on May 1, 2022 at the age of 93. She was born in Yonkers on June 22, 1928. After her marriage to Carmelo Minnella, she lived in North Tarrytown. The couple later bought their home in Hawthorne where she had lived for over 50 years.
Carmella had been a teacher in the Yonkers Public Schools.
She is survived by her sons Rocco and John, 3 grandchildren and her great grandchildren. In addition to her husband Carmelo, she was predeceased by her granddaughter Mindy Minnella.
Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4PM to 8 PM at Coffey Funeral Home where services will be held on Thursday at 11:00. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
