Carlos Garcia Perez, a longtime resident of Sleepy Hollow died January 3, 2024 on his 80th birthday. Born January 3, 1944 in Havana, Cuba, he was the son of Jose Garcia and Celestina Perez.

Like so many others, Carlos fled Cuba in the 1960’s and made a new life for himself in the Tarrytowns. 0n November 20, 1971, he married Silvia Chirino in Tarrytown.

Carlos had a long career as an assembler at General Motors which was in North Tarrytown. He was a member of the UAW Local 664, a parishioner of St. Teresa of Avila Church and he was an avid hunter.

Carlos is survived by Silvia, his loving wife of 52 years. Also surviving is his daughter Cynthia and her husband Diosvany and her grandchildren Claudia, Carlos, Justin and Jariza as well as his great grandsons Eros and Nova. He was predeceased by his daughter Michelle.

His Funeral Mass is Saturday January 20, 2024 at 9:30AM
