Beverly Ann 'Bunny' (Richter) Smith

DANBURY, CT – Beverly A. Smith (nee Richter), 74, of Danbury, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, January 16, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.

Bunny was born in Tarrytown, NY, on February 14, 1947, to the late Rosemary Coffey Richter and Frank C. Richter, Jr.  She was the devoted wife to her high school sweetheart, the late Thomas J. Smith, Sr.  She was the loving mother of the late T.J. Smith, Jr; Jaclyn Smith and her husband, Christopher Scholl; Elizabeth Smith; and Andrew Smith.  Bunny entered heaven on the same day as her brother, Frank M. Richter, Sr.   She was also the beloved sister of Holly Bukofser (Kenneth) of Purchase, NY.  Bunny and her family lived in Pelham Manor, NY, for many years before moving to Danbury.

Visitation and a celebration of Bunny’s life will occur at the Coffey Funeral Home, 91 North Broadway, Tarrytown, NY, on Saturday, January 22nd, from Noon to 3pm where funeral services will begin at 2:30. In lieu of flowers, donations could be made to the Foundation Fighting Blindness.
