Betty Lou (Kixmiller) Russell

Betty Lou Kixmiller Russell, formerly of Irvington, NY and Center Harbor, NH, died October 26, 2023 at Kendal on Hudson, Sleepy Hollow, NY at the age of 104. She was pre-deceased by her husband, John S. Russell Jr. and her sons John S. Russell III and David K. Russell. She is survived by her daughter Patricia Russell of Hancock, NH, six grandchildren, four great grandchildren and a great great grandchild. 

Betty was born in Chicago, Illinois on March 20, 1919. She graduated from Smith College and spent a graduate year at Radcliffe College prior to her marriage in 1941. She was a member of the Junior League, the Thursday Club, the Irvington Presbyterian Church, the Irvington Garden Club and the Garden Club of America. She was a long time volunteer at Children’s Village and served on their school board. 

The family wishes to thank the staff at Kendal on Hudson for their thoughtful care of Betty. At her request, there will not be a service.
