Bernard Farrell a lifetime resident of Tarrytown died peacefully on 4/14/2020. He was born on 4/30/1938 to James and Mary (McManus) Farrell. He attended Tarrytown Schools, in 1956 he enlisted in the Army where he was stationed in San Francisco Ca until his honorable discharge in 1958. After his discharge he returned to Tarrytown and went to work for NYS Department of Transportation, he retired in 1993 as a General Forman.
In 1960 he met Angela Marmo, the 2 were married in 1962 and settled in Sleepy Hollow where they raised their 2 children Mary & Billy.
Bernie was the ultimate family man and friend to all, there was nothing he wouldn't do for anyone. He was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time outdoors cleaning up and taking care of his yard.
His life was complete when his 2 grandsons were born, he enjoyed attending all their sporting events, spending time fishing, playing Gold Fish and many golf outings.
Bernie was also a member of the Fraternal Order Of Eagles.
He is survived by his wife Angela, daughter Mary Farrell, son Billy Farrell, grandsons Billy and Tyler, brother James Farrell, many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly and his beloved cat Bella.
He was predeceased by his father James, Mother Mary and brother Lawrence.
Since services cannot be held at this time, services will be planned in the future.
