Barbara Woltmann, 79 of Sleepy Hollow passed away peacefully on January 29, 2021. Barbara was a loving wife, mom and Oma. Barbara was born in Queens on January 17, 1942 and was the daughter of Peter and Ada Grabendorfer. Her father was an original founder of the Schlierachtaler Stamm (German Club). She was an active member and continued her German roots and traditions along with her own family. Barbara is survived by her dedicated husband Bodo of what would have been their 50th anniversary in October of this year, her loving daughters Stephanie, Martina and her son in law, Richard. She was a loving Oma to her two cherished grandchildren Emma and Jake. Barbara retired from the Public Schools of the Tarrytown to help take care of her grandchildren. Barbara was known for her generosity towards her family and friends. Barbara enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, had a special place in her heart for cats and sitting at the beach club. Barbara was the strongest woman, she overcame many obstacles and was a true fighter. A wake will be held on Thursday evening from 4:00-8:00 at Coffey Funeral Home in Sleepy Hollow. A funeral mass will take place at 10:00 in the morning on Friday, at Holy Rosary Church, Hawthorne New York.
Remembrances may be made in the form of donations to American Stroke Association, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Society, Paws Crossed Animal Rescue, Elmsford, NY.
